Our Curriculum

At The Midwest Playhouse, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child through faith-based, play-centered learning experiences. We believe children learn best through hands-on exploration, meaningful relationships, creativity, movement, and everyday discovery.

Our classrooms provide a balance of structured learning and child-led play while encouraging growth academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Each week, children participate in engaging themes, sensory experiences, music and movement, Bible learning, process art, fine and gross motor activities, literacy development, and kindergarten readiness skills.

What Our Curriculum Includes
Faith-Based Learning
Children are introduced to God’s love through Bible stories, worship music, prayer, scripture verses, and daily lessons focused on kindness, compassion, and character development.

Play-Based Learning
We believe play is one of the most important parts of early childhood education. Through dramatic play, sensory exploration, building, art, and hands-on activities, children develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and creativity.
Kindergarten Readiness
Our preschool curriculum focuses on preparing children for future academic success through early literacy, math, science, social studies, handwriting, and social-emotional development.

Learning Through Exploration

Our classrooms are designed to encourage children to ask questions, discover new interests, and actively participate in their learning experiences through hands-on engagement.

At The Midwest Playhouse, we strive to create joyful learning experiences that build strong foundations for both school and life while allowing children to simply enjoy being little.
