Our Classrooms
Where Home Meets Learning—and Faith Meets Everyday Life
At The Midwest Playhouse, our classrooms are anything but typical. Each one is a licensed, home-based learning environment—professionally managed and thoughtfully designed to nurture young children in small, peaceful settings where they can play, grow, and be known by name.
We transform everyday homes into extraordinary places of early learning, filled with warmth, structure, and spirit. Every classroom reflects our belief that children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and free to explore through play and faith.
Small by Design, Big in Impact
-
Class sizes are intentionally limited to 10 children, with 2–3 dedicated teachers per location.
-
This allows us to provide personalized attention, build strong relationships, and support the pace and needs of each child.
Faith-Filled and Fully Licensed
Each Playhouse classroom:
-
Meets or exceeds all Missouri state licensing standards
-
Is owned and operated by The Midwest Playhouse—not a third party
-
Is staffed by trained, background-checked educators who share our Christian values
-
Provides a structured, faith-integrated curriculum aligned with the Missouri Early Learning Standards
What You’ll See Inside
-
Inviting learning centers for art, dramatic play, literacy, blocks, and sensory exploration
-
Cozy corners for reading, prayer, and quiet time
-
Child-sized furniture and soft, natural lighting
-
Faithful touches like Scripture-based wall art, Bible storybooks, and a space for worship
-
Outdoor areas for safe, supervised gross motor play and connection to God’s creation
A Place That Feels Like Home—Because It Is One
While our classrooms meet all professional standards, they retain the comfort and rhythm of a real home. Children transition more easily, feel less overwhelmed, and enjoy a calm environment built for belonging and discovery.
