Hi, I'm Lauren Boltas. Founder of The Midwest Playhouse.

I saw a need for childcare in the area when I moved to St. Louis in 2021. After having my twins, it felt pretty impossible to find childcare for three children under the age of 16 months.

In March 2022, I opened an in-home daycare out of my home and called it The Midwest Playhouse and that's where it all started.

I spent most of my teens and 20s being a babysitter, part-time nanny, full-time nanny, newborn night nanny, you name it!

In May 2024, I made the decision to expand my business and rebrand it into a Christian Home Daycare teaching children the core values of christianity and what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

As a mom of four kids, ages 4 and under, it means so much to me that I can make it a priority for other families to teach their littles how important it is to have those core christian values.

Hi, I'm Sarah York.

I started with The Midwest Playhouse in August 2024 as a lead infant teacher and was promoted to traveling director in November 2024 as we began expansion.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and over six years of experience working in childcare.

I am dedicated to leading a program that fosters a safe, inspiring, and educational environment for every child. I work closely with out teachers and families to be ensure that each childs unique needs and developmental goals are met.

I look forward to partnering with you to support your child's growth and learning journey!

MEET OUR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Hi, I’m Whitley! I’ve been working in childcare for over six years, and I absolutely love what I do. I joined The Midwest Playhouse in August 2024 as a lead one-year-old teacher, and it’s been such a rewarding experience. I’m thrilled to be stepping into a new role as a director, where I can continue to build a space that feels safe, welcoming, and full of love for both children and their families.

As a mom to a toddler, I’ve gained a whole new perspective on childcare. After having my daughter, I really understood the importance of finding a nurturing and trustworthy environment for our little ones. This experience has fueled my passion even more, and I strive to ensure that every child in our care, and every parent who walks through our doors, feels truly valued and supported.

I’m so excited for the opportunity to grow in this new role and continue making a positive impact in the lives of the families we care for!
